Low-voltage electrical components

Low-voltage electrical components

Low-voltage electrical components refer to various electrical parts used in low-voltage circuits, including circuit breakers, contactors, isolation switches, dual power supplies, current transformers, frequency converters, soft starters, relays, push buttons, indicator lights, etc.

Description

Low-voltage electrical equipment refers to devices operating in circuits with AC voltages below 1200V or DC voltages below 1500V. They serve functions such as switching, protection, control, or regulation, and are also used to control, protect, and regulate non-electrical processes and equipment utilizing electrical energy. The majority of system loads are supplied through low-voltage electrical equipment. Most production machinery and equipment used by power consumers are powered by low-voltage electricity. Within extensive low-voltage power distribution and consumption systems, a large quantity of low-voltage electrical components is required for control and protection purposes.

The purpose of low-voltage electrical components in circuits is to automatically or manually connect or disconnect circuits based on external signals or requirements, thereby continuously or intermittently changing circuit parameters or states. This enables the switching, control, protection, detection, transformation, and regulation of circuits or non-electrical objects. The characteristics of low-voltage electrical components include a wide variety, large usage volume, and broad application range.

Low-voltage electrical components are fundamental elements of power distribution systems and machine tool electrical control systems. The performance of these systems is directly related to the quality of the low-voltage electrical components used. Although advancements in automation control technology and computer technology may lead to some electrical components being replaced by electronic circuits, low-voltage electrical components themselves are evolving into new areas (e.g., improving performance, developing new types, integrating machinery, electricity, and instrumentation, and expanding application ranges). Therefore, they are unlikely to be completely replaced.

The low-voltage electrical component brands we sell include: Schneider, ABB, Siemens, CHINT, Delixi, etc.

Various low-voltage electrical components are used to convert, control, regulate, and protect power grids, motors, and other electrical equipment. They are characterized by high production volume, wide application, and diverse types. Based on application requirements, low-voltage electrical components can be divided into two main categories: distribution equipment and control equipment. According to operating conditions, they can be classified into general industrial low-voltage electrical equipment, traction low-voltage electrical equipment, explosion-proof low-voltage electrical equipment, aviation low-voltage electrical equipment, and marine low-voltage electrical equipment.

In China, low-voltage electrical components are traditionally categorized into the following 13 types: knife switches and knife-type transfer switches, fuses, circuit breakers, contactors, controllers, control relays, master switches, starters, resistors, rheostats, regulators, solenoids, and other devices such as leakage protectors, signal lights, junction boxes, etc.

Based on application sites, low-voltage electrical components are divided into two major categories: distribution equipment and control equipment. Distribution equipment is primarily used in power distribution systems for switching, controlling, regulating, and protecting circuits. Its characteristics include reliable operation, high switching capacity, and sufficient dynamic and thermal stability. Control equipment is mainly used in electric drive control systems and electrical equipment for control and protection purposes. Its characteristics include accurate and reliable operation, high operating frequency, and long service life.
