The European-style box-type substation (abbreviated as box-type substation) is a compact, complete set of power distribution equipment that integrates high-voltage switchgear, distribution transformers, low-voltage switchgear, energy metering equipment, and reactive power compensation devices according to a specific wiring scheme within one or several enclosures. It is suitable for rated voltages of 10/0.4kV in three-phase AC systems, used for receiving and distributing electrical energy. It is applicable in places such as factories, mines, oil fields, ports, airports, urban public buildings, residential areas, highways, and underground facilities.
The box-type substation offers technical advantages including high integration, compact size, aesthetically pleasing appearance, safe and reliable operation, easy maintenance, and a wide range of options. Economically, it provides benefits such as a small footprint, easy relocation, proximity to load centers, short construction cycles, and reduced waste.
Environmental Conditions:
Altitude: ≤1000m
Ambient Temperature: -50°C to +40°C
Relative Humidity: Daily average ≤95%, Monthly average ≤95%
Seismic Resistance: Horizontal acceleration ≤0.3g; Vertical acceleration ≤0.15g
Installation Site: Installed in well-ventilated areas free from corrosive gases that corrode metals, with ground inclination ≤30°.
Product Features:
Enclosure Construction: Two methods: one is a welded frame structure (“目” character layout), using shaped steel welded for the frame, then riveted or welded with panels. The other is an assembled frame structure (“品” character layout), where steel plates are bent, surface-treated, and finally bolted together. The “品” character layout expands the low-voltage outlet section, accommodating up to 6 low-voltage panels with 8-12 output circuits. An operation corridor and duty room can be included as needed.
Thermal Insulation & Ventilation: Effective measures are in place. The enclosure features a double-layer structure with upper and lower ventilation channels on all sides. The roof sandwich layer contains insulation material, effectively reducing temperature rise from solar radiation. Automatic fans are installed at the top and bottom of the high-voltage room, and louvers are set on the upper part of the sides or doors, ensuring safe full-load transformer operation during high-temperature seasons.
Safe & Reliable Operation: The high-voltage side typically uses SRM16-12 or HXGN15-12 ring main units. Other types of metal-clad switchgear can be used, all with complete interlocking mechanisms. Door frames feature excellent waterproof structures.
Easy Operation & Maintenance: All compartments have automatic lighting. Both high-voltage and low-voltage rooms allow front wiring and front access maintenance.
Aesthetic & Durable: The enclosure uses high-performance marine-grade zinc-rich epoxy primer and epoxy anti-corrosion mortar, offering excellent corrosion resistance. The exterior color can be customized. All electrical installations are zinc-plated, and doors use special, clog-resistant, rust-proof universal locks.
